  1. I don't really get what the people are representing. I think it is the girl who watches over everything the guy does and controls everything and the guy who is very laid back. Also when they talk about each other as a child and about there parents.

  2. The first guy represents Greece, the first girl is Germany, the second girl is Spain, and the second guy is probably Britain. Germany's "mother" is West Germany, which lent Greece a huge amount of money way back when to buy itself a military (this was during the peak of the Cold War). The clock shows the year each event occurs.
