  1. Ive got one question were in history does it say that sheakspear is german if you can answer me that then I would beleive it. He may have done some of his work in german but that doesnt make him german. Every time that I have learned about him it has said that he was an English man that enjoyed the job of acting and writing peoms and now where and I mean now where has it ever said that he was a german and that it what I know for a fact.

  2. Ha-ha, Blitzmann! You know a lot about Shakespeare. But this blog is to inform us of what can happen after 400 years of soaking up and enjoying Shakespeare's fabulous dramas, which were clearly written in ENGLISH (and enjoyed by Germans both in his original language and in various translations). End result, is that to Germans, it ALMOST seems AS IF SHAKESPEARE HIMSELF WERE GERMAN; certainly, he was influenced by some of the literature in Germany at the time. Also true: Shakespeare has become a kindred spirit to, and/or idol for, many Germans. The blog also mentions that, of the 90 different languages into which Shakespeare has been translated, German was the first. Interesting? Perhaps!
