Thyssen Krupp's Bucket-Wheel Excavator

Talk about creating a traffic jam, this thing is over 200 meters long; 100 meters high.

This piece of equipment really updates surface mining.

-- > Can you imagine how huge the open mining pits can be? (Visible from outer space.)

  7. It's a little sad to know there are machines that big to rip up the ground. With a machine like that though, whatever they are looking for must be worth a lot.

  8. Wow, it can be seen from outerspace? That thing most be huge! While it probably produce a lot in a single day and create a lot of money for Germany's economy I would hate to see it everyday. It is not the most attractive thing to look at. This things help and hurt us. They help our money problem but hurt our environment and living space by producing hazordous fumes. It just looks scary no matter how I look at it.

  9. Das ist gross und cool!! Imagine how long it took to get that from one side of the road to the other!!! I would say that it probably mines clay or some other material. Just the drill itself looks uber gross!!!! It's most likely operated by about 15-20 guys. Also try to imagine how long it would take to fix on small piece in the middle of it all! Even just the drill-head itself!!! It looks like it can "eat" anything in it's path!!
